Face Coverings at Sewell Park Academy from Thursday 27th January
Dear Parents, Carers and Students,
As you will all be aware, last week the government announced the lifting of restrictions within the country, including within educational settings, which takes place from the 27th January. I am writing to update you, as per my previous correspondence, now that the guidance has been fully published. From Thursday 27th January, the government is no longer recommending face coverings to be worn within educational settings. Therefore, at Sewell Park, students, staff and visitors will no longer be required to wear these. If the government guidance changes, or we are recommended that they are reimplemented by the local public health team, we will inform you as soon as possible. We understand that some members of our school community, students or parents, still wish to wear face coverings due to personal concerns. If this is the case, they will be permitted, however, we look forward to a time in the near future where they will not be seen at all within the school.
Best wishes,
David Day
Headteacher
