Update from Head of School at Sewell Park Academy 24/03/2020

March 24, 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

You will have seen an email from Don Evans the CEO from Boudica Schools Trust regarding the temporary closure of Sewell Park Academy and our childcare provision for key workers moving to Sprowston Community Academy, due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This decision has been taken to minimise the risk of infection and maximise support for key workers in these difficult and challenging times.

I understand that this may be difficult for some, but we will continue to support our community as we have always done. Children of key workers and the most vulnerable, who cannot remain at home, will be met by staff at 8.40 at the front of the school (Sprowston Community Academy) and they will follow the same school times as before.

In regards to Free School Meals, our provision remains the same for today - if possible, come to the canteen hatch between 12pm & 1pm to collect a packed lunch, you will receive a lunch for today and tomorrow. For those who received a delivery yesterday, we will deliver 2 lunches today, for today and tomorrow. If your child is entitled to Free School Meals and you have not yet been in contact with the school, please contact us today. Further information will follow with regards to provision from Thursday onwards.

I would like to thank you all for your unwavering support of our students and staff over the past weeks. We remain as Sewell Park Academy, we will just providing childcare in these times at a different location.

Best wishes and I hope all families remain safe and well

Regards,

David Day
