March 20, 2020

Dear Parent/Carer,

Following Government guidelines issued this morning, it is important that we are made aware as soon as possible, if you are considered to be a key worker from the new Government criteria.

Government guidance states 'if at all possible for children to be at home, they should be.'

Sewell Park Academy will be providing educational provision for children of these key workers during normal school hours (8.40am-3.05pm Monday-Friday) when you are required to be at work and your child cannot be safely cared for at home.

Please note: only those children who fall into the below categories will be allowed in to school:

  • Children of key workers who cannot be safely cared for at home

  • Children with an EHCP

  • Children who have a Social Worker

All other children will need to stay at home.

In order to ascertain when, as a key worker, you will need your child/children to come in to school, please fill out the enclosed form as soon as possible for the week beginning 23rd March 2020. We will send the form out each Thursday for you to fill in the following week's requirements.

At Sewell Park Academy, we will continue to do all we can to support frontline staff across the country.
