Year 8 and 9 Performing Arts students were recently involved in a street performance project which began at 'The Garth' behind St Andrew's Hall where the story began, telling the audience about the history of Norwich and Kett's rebellion. The audience then followed the action through to St George's Green outside the Norwich Playhouse where the story told of the good times and the bad. The audience were then invited to process through the streets where there were a variety of performances en route to Anglia Square.
The performing arts students worked with Duncan Joseph (a member of 'The Common Lot') to write their own duologues which were then performed to audiences of, at times, 40+ people.
The finale of the play was performed within Anglia Square to celebrate its history and community.
The students set an excellent example of the positive work SPA has within the community.
