As a school we are trying to explore ways in which we can improve and develop the support we offer our students on their journey towards GCSEs.
In order to fully support our Year 11 students in their most challenging year, we are creating Year 11 form groups which will have a specific focused activity each day. These activities will underpin learning in English and Maths as well as having a focus on student wellbeing.
In order to do this effectively, we will be reducing our current House structure from six houses to five houses.
All Boudicca students will be reassigned to one of the other five houses. Students in Years 7-10 will remain in vertical form groups, and Year 11 students will form new mixed-House groups. This enables Mrs Barwick to lead as Director of Year 11, and Miss Williams to support as the Pastoral Lead.
Although it is with sadness that we let Boudicca go, this is a fantastic opportunity to create Houses that can focus more on age-related issues and concerns whilst increasing the support network around our Year 11 students.
The students have been informed and a careful process has been carried out with all House Leaders so students are placed in the House where we think they will be most successful and happy.
