Growth Mindset Evening – Thursday 2nd November 2017 – 6:30pm-7:30pm
You are invited to join us for a free ‘Growth Mindset’ session, here at Sewell Park Academy on Thursday 2nd November, 6:30pm – 7:30pm, in the Main Hall with Dr Sanderson.
We are understanding our mindsets at Sewell Park Academy to help students with their learning.
There are two kinds of mindsets that students can have:
Growth mindset where students believe that success is down to hard work. They like difficult work to stretch their brains, are not worried if they fail and work hard to overcome difficulties.
Fixed mindset where students think that success is set at birth and that they can’t do anything to improve. They can give up whenever there are difficulties because of a lack of confidence.
The evening aims to provide you with information and guidance on how you can help your child keep a positive mindset and support their learning at home using the growth mindset approach.
If you have any questions, or to confirm you will be attending, please contact the main school office on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01603 411721.
