Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium (PP) is a grant provided to schools by the Government for groups of eligible students. Eligible students are those who have registered for Free School Meals in the last six years, those with parents currently serving in the armed forces and Looked After Children (children in care and adopted children).
The amount of PP funding awarded is based on the number of eligible students registered and is for the school to spend as they see best, to support disadvantaged children and tackle the inequalities they may face. 
Further funding is awarded for those students in Year 7 who did not achieve at least a level 4 in their English reading and/or Maths SATs at Key Stage 2. The Year 7 literacy and numeracy catch-up premium is to enable schools to provide additional programmes of support to these students.
