Learning from Home

Should your child need to remain at home, either because they are ill, they are awaiting a COVID test or another member of the household is, then we request that they continue to study the curriculum in the same way as they would in school.
To support this, every subject in the school has produced a ‘Remote Learning Map’ which provides for each lesson that takes place within school, a link to a web-based alternative. These might be a link to an Oak Academy online lesson, a video and/or activity from BBC Bitesize or a resource created especially by a subject teacher.
Each week, all subject teachers will share, via Google Classroom class group, the specific lessons on that subject’s ‘Remote Learning Map’ that will be covered in classrooms within Sewell Park Academy that week.
This provision can also be used by students to support any lost learning time at any point.
